SNO-N-ICE is manufactured in Switzerland. The modern de-icing agent SNO-N-ICE is a specially formulated road salt containing six inhibitors (additives). It does not contain urea. The pink colouring (food colouring) is used to indicate where the salt has already been spread and disappears of its own accord after a short time.
- Cold-resistant: SNO-N-ICE is effective at temperatures down to –21°C (road salt down to –8°C).
- Effective: Thanks to the different grain sizes, the effect lasts for approximately 24 hours. SNO-N-ICE can therefore be applied the evening before.
- Highly effective: Thanks to its flatter granules, SNO-N-ICE adheres better to snow and ice, particularly on slopes and in windy conditions.
- Preserves value: Lower corrosion rate in unalloyed steel compared with normal road salt (TÜV Nord MPA 18AX01610).
- Sustainable: Less cracking and a longer service life for concrete structures, such as paving or steps, etc.
- Compatible: Cation measurement in the eluate test shows no dissolution of limestone within the margin of determination.
- User-friendly: Pleasant to spread by hand; does not irritate the skin.
- Pet-friendly: Gentle on dogs’ and cats’ paws.
- Cost-effective: The pink colour (food colouring) makes targeted spreading easier. Just a few grams per m² are sufficient. The indicator colour fades some time after spreading.
- Practical: SNO-N-ICE is ideally suited for both manual and mechanical spreading. SNO-N-ICE is non-hygroscopic and does not clump. When stored in a dry place, SNO-N-ICE has an unlimited shelf life.
