The UNGER HydroPower Ultra Filter L cleaning system operates on the principle of deionisation. Tap water is fed into the filter tank and passed through ion-exchange resin. The result is completely demineralised pure water that can be used for streak-free cleaning without any chemical additives.
The filter is fitted with three resin bags, each with a volume of six litres. Thanks to the integrated FloWater technology, the water is directed evenly through the resin, ensuring a longer service life whilst maintaining constant water pressure.
A digital TDS meter continuously monitors the quality of the outgoing water. The target value for optimal pure water is 0.00 ppm. A value of 10 ppm is considered the threshold at which the resin needs replacing.
With average water hardness and a flow rate of 100 square metres per hour, a single fill can produce up to 2,450 litres of purified water. Variations in water hardness or flow rate will affect the yield accordingly.
For transport, the shut-off valve at the bottom of the filter can be securely closed to prevent accidental leakage.
Disposal
When used as intended with tap water, spent resin packs can be disposed of in small quantities via normal household waste. Local disposal regulations must be observed.
