For the safe and hygienic handling of contaminated laundry, hygonorm’s Easy Care laundry bags, made from HDPE film, are a particularly practical and cost-effective choice. They provide reliable protection against the spread of hazardous substances, viruses and bacteria by securely sealing the soiled laundry until it is washed, without any direct contact with the environment or staff.
The innovative feature: only the central seam of the bag is water-soluble. During the washing process, this seam opens, allowing the laundry to be thoroughly cleaned. The bag itself does not dissolve completely, but can be easily removed from the machine and disposed of after washing. This solution combines hygienic safety with high cost-effectiveness, making it ideal for hospitals, care homes and other sensitive areas.
How it works :
1) Place contaminated laundry into the laundry bag. Important: Fold damp laundry or damp patches inwards to prevent the seam from coming apart prematurely.
2) Tie the laundry bag securely or use the enclosed cord to ensure it remains tightly sealed until washing.
3) Place the laundry bags directly into the washing machine and wash as usual. The centre seam dissolves at temperatures of 45 °C and above.
4) After washing, remove the remains of the laundry bag and, if necessary, the cord from the machine and dispose of them.
