DESCOSEPT SENSITIVE FRESH is a ready-to-use, ethanol-based rapid alcohol disinfectant for the rapid disinfection and cleaning of alcohol-resistant surfaces and medical equipment. It is particularly suitable for patient-contact areas and dental settings, where a broad spectrum of activity and good material compatibility are required. The undiluted solution can be used for wipe disinfection or by spraying. Visible soiling must be removed before disinfection, and the surface must remain completely wetted throughout the specified contact time.
The spectrum of activity includes bactericidal, levurocidal, tuberculocidal and mycobactericidal properties, as well as limited virucidal and limited virucidal PLUS efficacy. Supplementary tests also confirm efficacy against adenoviruses, noroviruses, vaccinia viruses and coronaviruses. Depending on the spectrum of activity and method of application, the tested contact times range from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. The product contains 45 g of ethanol per 100 g of solution, is VAH-listed and is registered in Switzerland as a biocidal product for surface disinfection.
