Arjo Medi-Des Surface Disinfectant Cleaner is a liquid concentrate for the disinfection and cleaning of hard, non-porous surfaces, as well as bath and shower trays. The product is diluted with water before use to form a ready-to-use solution and is particularly suitable for medical facilities, care settings, doctors’ surgeries, public washrooms, and wellness and leisure areas.
Medi-Des is alcohol-free and contains no aldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phenols or active chlorine. The concentrate has bactericidal and levurocidal efficacy, offers limited virucidal activity and has also been tested against fungi on untreated wood. Regular use helps to reduce the risk of cross-infection on shared surfaces and care baths.
Coarse dirt must be removed before disinfection. The working solution is freshly prepared to the desired concentration, applied evenly and left on the surface for the prescribed contact time. Surfaces that come into contact with the skin must then be thoroughly rinsed to remove any product residue. The concentrate must not be mixed with other cleaning agents or disinfectants.
